You are responsible for:

As a Solution Architect, you have serious impact on the company's technical direction. You design solution architectures and take responsibility for designing solutions that enable the required business outcomes. With expertise in the application, integration and data architecture domains, you ensure constant improvement of the implemented services.
The role of the Solution Architect is to be the technical lead in ongoing and new projects. To evaluate current systems and possible new technologies to meet current, planned and anticipated future requirements. To ensure our investment in technology is aligned with our business needs, that we are building scalable efficient systems capable of dealing with current and predicted workload in an easily manageable and cost effective way. 
Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead solution architecture, ensuring application architecture, database and data models are fit for current purpose and future growth, requirements
  • You will evaluate multiple options before presenting your recommendations with supporting data, technical diagrams, pros, cons, costs
  • You will be a hands-on solution architect capable of full end to end system design
  • In collaboration with the Designers and Developers you adopt product-wide best practices for the architecture and constantly improve scalability, availability, extensibility and performance

Minimum Requirements:

  • You have already worked as a Solution Architect in complex environments for no less than 5 years
  • You have at least 7 years of experience in software engineering
  • Your architecture experience is predominantly in the application, integration and data architecture domains, high-data-volume and high-transaction-volume solutions
  • You have led high-profile data remodeling and software transformation projects in the role of lead architect. You have architected/designed in both relational and non-relational databases
  • You are experienced in microservices architecture
  • You have years of data management experience including large scale data migration
  • Demonstrated experiences architecting in cloud and on premise, AWS, AZURE, IBM, Oracle
  • Experienced evaluating multiple possible solutions including COTS, presenting options, pros and cons and recommendations based on current and future requirements and budgets
  • Proven successful track record in Transformation and Migration Projects
  • Demonstrated experience managing and architecting for multiple technical integration project Software Development Life Cycle end-to-end
  • Experience driving technical workshops with technical and business clients to derive value added services and implementations
  • Experience leading data engineering, integration, migration and design teams

Your Profile:
  • Demonstrated expertise in architecting, implementing, and supporting enterprise-grade technical solutions meeting complex business requirements while evangelizing integration methodologies and supporting business case justification to C-level executives
  • You  are quite comfortable with modelling techniques like BPML, UML, Archimate or the like plus enterprise architecture concepts, frameworks, and methodologies (e.g. TOGAF 9, Zachman, Gartner)
  • As a passionate market observer, you constantly account for new options, take part in expert discussions and facilitate decisions
  • You’re able to explain complex facts to colleagues and stakeholders
  • Excellent English language skills, German a plus
  • Ability to travel up to 20%
